French Connections offer holiday letting advertising for £99

Wednesday, August 24th, 2011

During August 2011 owners of holiday lettings in France can book a new rental property advertisement on the French Connections website for the discounted price of £99 – a saving of £50 on the standard 12 month package.

The timing of this offer gives owners an opportunity to catch last minute and late season bookings this year and to boost marketing for next year’s season at a bargain rate on an established and highly trusted rental site. Owners deal direct with guests and there is no commission payable.

French Connections was one of the original holiday rental websites and only specialises in France, receiving 1.5 million visits each year from potential holidaymakers. It was set up in 1996 by Michael and Glynis Shaw, former holiday property owners who, with their bilingual team, still provide a personal and knowledgeable service to advertisers.

Owners new to the site who book the £99 package before the end of August will receive online descriptive text, photos, map, places of interest, availability calendar and a link to their own website. They also get SMS text message enquiry alerts and a listing in French. Owners have full control of their listing, with expert helpline support and optional upgrades to host video tours, display extra photographs, run special offers and feature in promotions.

Costs of Holidaying Abroad Fall

Thursday, May 28th, 2009

There have been slight falls in the cost of taking holidays in the US and in France this week.

The value of the pound against the dollar has increased recently, reaching up to $1.60 in the last few days. This is a still a long way off previous highs but is a great improvement on its recorded low of $1.36 in January this year, and will help reduce the cost of a self catering villa holiday in destinations like Florida.

Meanwhile in France the government there has just approved a cut in VAT rates effective from July 1st. VAT, or TVA as its known locally, will reduce from 19.6% to just 5.5% which means holidaymakers will be able to enjoy roughly 10% lower prices at restaurants and cafés.
